Christmas Feature - Valley Worship, Stephanie Samuel, Life Wide Open

We are back with another Christmas feature. To close out our Christmas highlights (for now...), we have three songs from three different artists to share with you! There are two originals and also a great rendition of an older classic. The three songs are "Star of Wonder (Thy Perfect Light) [Live]," "Born O Born (In Bethlehem)" and "A New Hope for the World."

The first song, "Star of Wonder (Thy Perfect Light) [Live]," was released in 2019 by our dear friends at Valley Worship. It is a live recording of their own take on the classic Christmas hymn "We Three Kings of Orient Are." It declares Christ's coming in view of the historic event of His birth.

You can listen to the song here. Other assets can be found on PraiseCharts and MultiTracks.

When asked about the story behind their album artwork, Valley Worship shared, "When looking closely, you will see three shooting stars on the left portion of the photo. We used this imagery to exemplify what that burning star may have been to the shepherd or wisemen on that special night, and what was the star to be followed. It is grouped in three to also signify the divine nature of Christ's arrival, eventually fulfilling prophesy and becoming Father-Spirit-Son (The Trinity). You will also notice the right portion is fairly lit up and recognizable (stars, light), signifying the light that Christ is to this world, and that without Him, none of it (Earth) would be at all. The left upper portion (in which the stars are arriving from) is void.. mysterious.. and unknown.. which often represents our curiosity of the heavenly realms. We can't even begin to imagine on our own, but with Him.. our eyes see, and ears hear.. with Thy perfect light." - Ben Lounsbury

The second Christmas song we are highlighting this week is "Born O Born (In Bethlehem)" by Stephanie Samuel from her 4 track EP, Secret Light. The chorus sings, "You make all things new. You make all things new." A simple sentence that reminds us that Jesus is the ultimate Savior of the world. You can listen to the full EP here. Assets can be found on Praisecharts.

The last Christmas song to highlight from this week is a throwback from Life Wide Open called "A New Hope for the World" from their EP Life for Christmas. A portion of the chorus sings, "After all these years of darkness, we just seen the light. There's a new hope for the world in a manger tonight." This is one of our favs, and you can listen to the song here.

Merry Christmas! Stay well, everyone.
